    • The technician advanced to level #2 testing and he first discused with the customer the symtoms related to the complaint. The technician then hooked up his scanner and he checked both the Fuel Injection Computer and Transmission computer for codes and no codes were present. The technician then took the vehicle for an extended test drive with the scanner hooked up and he montired the fuel trims, and the transmission data stream and they both looked ok at this time. The tech did feel a slight transmisison harsh upshift and downshift. The technician then performed a visual inspection and he noted the air filter was dirty, and the throttle plates have exsessive carbon build up on them. The tech also noted the transmission fluid looks dirty, and the rear motor mount is bad and allowing the engine to move too much in the engine bay when shifting. All of these issues could affect how smooth the transmission shifts, and the engine gas millage. The technician recommends performing maintenance services such as a transmission service, and adding additive to help smooth out the shifting, and replacing the motor mount and retesting the transmission shifting operation. Regarding the gas mileage, the tech recommends replacing the air filter and performing a BG Induction service. He will then clear the fuel trims.

    • The technician advanced to level #1 and he first performed extensive research and there have been failures with the antenna or the windshield. The tech then added external water to the top of the roof and he verified that the antenna mount is leaking. The tech recommends removing the headliner and then resealing the antenna mount.
    • REMOVE HEADLINER, VERIFY WATER LEAK COMING FROM ANTENNA BASE, RESEAL, REINSTALL HEADLINER, AND RETEST FOR WATER LEAKS.
    • The tech first tried to replace the bulb for no charge, but a new bulb did not fix the problem. The tech then advanced to level #1 testing and he first printed out the wiring diagram and he studied it in detail. The tech then used his Trusty Power probe and he checked for power at the connector and there was no power. The tech continued to trace the harness/connector and the inner part of the connector is broken. The tech is researching and trying to find just the plug, but most likely the left side wiring harness will need to be replaced, since the plug is not sold separately.
    • WIRE IN NEW HARNESS ASSEMBLY
